A great time was had by all at our
1st cruise event of 2007 for the
SCOA NE Region to the huge 11th
Annual New England Summer
Nationals held in beautiful
Worcester,MA. We drove up in 89
#142 and were accompanied by 95
S-351 #05 which was a former
Saleen executive car driven by
Tony Johnson with only 12k miles
on the clock. Pretty strange that
this was such a low option Saleen
internal car? This years event ran
for 5 wonderful days and featured
over 5000+ cars and nearly 200,000
spectators attending this annual
event billed as the largest such
gathering on the east coast each
year. We all had a great time
roaming the grassy show grounds at
Green Hill Park and the downtown
locations that featured drag
racing, burnout pit, flamethrower
hot rods and stunt riders. It was
great day to just sit back and
enjoy all the unreal megadollar hotrods,
musclecars and classics as they
rolled by through the lovely park
grounds. You name the brand and it
was probably in attendance at the
weeks festivities. Our Saleens
managed to grab the attention of
many show goers who mentioned that
they had never seen a Saleen
Mustang in person before! As you
can imagine we spent the better
part of the day explaining our
favorite cars!
If you have never been lucky
enough to attend this show make
plans now to put it on your must
do list for the future. Nice to
see many old friends and we highly
looking anticipating the upcoming
1st Annual SCOA NE Regionals
July 14-15th in scenic
Connecticut.
Hope to see everyone at the event!
