It was an excellent turn out for the Cobra Owners Club of America Orange County Chapter’s 24th Annual Concours de Nice. Just over 80 vehicles were on display outside the main entrance to the Westin Hotel at South Coast Plaza. Every model Shelby Mustang and AC Cobra were in attendance. The SCOA will be working closely with the COCOAOC in developing a Saleen class for future club events. This year the signature class was limited to two spots. The participants favored Todd and Matrice’s Lazer Red S281 coupe over the Southwest Regional Directors White S351 Speedster in the peoples choice awards. It was a fun filled afternoon that saw a rare 1961 Tiger Coupe (1 of 3 every built) take best in show. However, the biggest surprise of the day was an early morning wake up call in the form of an earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale. California, gotta love it!
