SCOA at the 2004 Saleen Show

September 17-19, 2004

This was the 8th Annual Saleen Inc. Car Show, and the SCOA added to the fun by having a dinner on the Friday before at a local Steak House, a post car show dinner and cruise up the Pacific Coast Highway, and on Sunday wrapped it up with a brunch and football on TV.

The Saleen Show was dominated by the sneak preview of the 2005 Saleen S281. As you can see, no pictures were allowed. There were several S7s on display, the Saleen SR racecars, about 50 2004 model year Saleens waiting for delivery in the factory. There were several SCOA members at the area, and you could always find a few relaxing under the SCOA tents.

After the Saleen Show over 20 of us jumped in our Saleens, Mustangs, and rental cars, and  headed out to lunch at what used to be Gordon Biersche, now called BJ's, a local Brewhouse for some good food and conversation. You know it was a good time, as we were there for about 3 hours. After dinner we headed out to the coast for a late night drive up the coast.
