A
large group of Saleen Club of
America members & officers were
on hand to help the Mustang Club
of America celebrate it's 30th
Anniversary. The event was
attended by over 1300 MCA
members at the Barber
Motorsports Park in Leeds Al,
near Birmingham. This has to be
one of the prettiest venues MCA
has ever held an event.
Four
days of celebrations started on
Thursday with the normal
opening, later that
evening, about 300 gathered for
a cruise to Homewood, near
downtown Birmingham. The drive
was pretty scary, but the town
had closed the streets off, but
parking took a while and was
handled very well, there was a
band and of course, a birthday
cake.
Friday and Saturday, we wondered
around checking on the vendors,
talking Saleens, trying to keep
cool, fighting off the ants and
waiting to be judged. Saturday
after the show, we all gathered
for a photo shoot and then some
of us headed to the Outback for
dinner.
Sunday, was pretty much standing
around waiting for awards before
heading off home, although some
members took advantage of some
last minute track time. Great
Event!
