Ive read about garys loss i want to send garys family a brief message From Mexico: 8 years ago i lost my mother because of cáncer too it is a very strong expiríence. I tell this From my heart because i know the feeling: Im sure that gary is now in a better place. My mother was a very strong person i admire her because i live with her all the pain she had to affront to live... Finally she passed away and in my heart i knew it was the better thing because the pain was too much. Actually i still talk with her in my mind as if she was still here and i have a picture of her in which she looked awesome! And I want to tell you that she is now my angel. As mom Gary is now in a better place where is no pain and surely now he can drive a saleen S7!! Ive told all my friends here about this and we all send you our best wishes We have done a prair in church today. My english is not the best but i hope you can understand me Luis Ortega

Gary has been a good friend to all for years... Some of the first times I remember meeting Gary go back to the some of the Mustang and Ford shows in the Nashville area. He has been a big asset to the Saleen Club and the BigWing Guy will be missed very much by not just me but all who know him!

I had the chance to meet Gary last summer at the Saleen Nationals here in Atlanta. It didn't take me long to realize that Gary was the kind of guy who had a knack for knowing everyone and you would waste your time trying to find anyone who had anything bad to say about him due to his kind and sensible nature. The thoughts and prayers of this household go out to the Alsobrooks during this time of loss.

I am saddened to hear the about the loss of Gary. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He was a super nice guy who introduced me to the club and several of it's members. I went to a couple shows with him and he treated me like we had been friends for years. I don't get on the computer much and I haven't kept up with the club lately so I am just learning of his passing. I am so sorry for this. If there is anything I can do to help, please shoot me an email at markjeeps@comcast.net
God be with you, Gary. Mark Davis. 88'-#87

I have several really nice memories of Gary. First off was in Birmingham at the MCA National event when he and his son came up to me at the Vortech tent where my red Saleen was on display and introduced himself and immediately started bragging about how wonderful my car looked and how happy he was to finally meet me in person. We had been internet friends for some time. Gary and I were looking at some of the vendors and I had remembered seeing a shift knob for an 86 Saleen for a great price. I took Gary over to it and had him purchase it so as to have a nice new spare. He was so tickled to get it for such a cheap price, as I recall it was $30.00. He must of thanked me over and over the entire weekend. It just goes to show the kind of man Gary was. He was always appreciative of others and anytime he could he was always complimentary. My next meeting with him was last year at the Saleen Nationals held here in Atlanta. He and I hung out together for the better part of the show and it was always a pleasure talking with him. He was always fast with any information to share about Saleens and cars in general. Watching him at the event was a pleasure, it was like watching a kid in a candy store. He was just so thrilled to be around all his Saleen friends. The morning that the event ended we all went to eat breakfast and I felt like I was letting my closest friend leave and I was so sad to see him go. We communicated numerous times after that and sold each other spare Saleen parts on occasions. I have a box sitting at my house that he sent with a decal kit on it and on the side it says "Thanks G!". That is the kind of nice man he was to me and everyone I knew he communicated with. At the fairwell breakfast he was a total gentleman to my wife and she was so impressed with him and has said that this world has truly lost a great man. I could not of put it any better. I for one will miss Gary from the bottom of my heart. May he always be remembered as the kindess sole.

I feel very fortunate to have known Gary and look forward to keeping Ryan and Lynette in our Saleen family. I was proud to be able to have joined them in the celebration of his life as we laid Gary to rest on Thursday. He truely did touch a lot of lives that will live on in everyones heart. It is comforting to know he is full of joy now and no longer in pain

God bless you Gary.

To the Alsobrooks family,
I am certainly tremendously saddened to hear of the loss of Gary. A dear friend to all, we should all strive to live as Gary did and count each day as a blessing. Always quick to lend a hand via email or phone call, Gary never met a stranger especially when it came to the Saleen family. A true enthusiast of our hobby, he will leave a void in our club, but not in our memory. I can't help to be saddened by the loss, but I have to celebrate the life and legacy that he leaves.

The last time that I saw Gary, he was driving down my street in early 2007 as he had just bought my 1987 convertible Saleen. I always thought that it couldn't have found a better home.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Larry and Francine Hill

My deepest and sincerest condolences go out to the Alsobrooks family.

I never had the pleasure to meet Gary, being on the other side of the country, but made his acquaintence on different internet forums. "Bigwing" was always there with information and help for anyone that asked. The Mustang community is poorer for the loss of Bigwing Saleen.
