Rick LeBeau wins the 1997 Saleen S281 Budget rental car and donates it back to the club!

Birmingham, keysAlabama – On August 8, 2015 at around 5:00 PM Jeff LeMaster, owner of Hesco, reached his hand into a large jar full of entry tickets for the car he and his business had donated. After swirling around a few times, Jeff looked over at Lee Reese, Southeast Region Director and 2015 SCOA Nationals Show Chairman, and pulled one single ticket out of the bucket. Jeff never looked at the ticket as he handed it over to Lee to see. He then showed the ticket to Jay Ronca, Alabama State Rep who was emceeing that portion of the event. Jay called out the name of the winner, Rick LeBeau. Rick was in shock to say the least. Unfortunately we do not have a picture of that expression yet, but hope someone was there taking pictures of it unfolding.

No sooner did Rick regain his composure than he took the mic from Jay and announced to the crowd that he was donating the car back to the club to raise more money for Children’s. I can say this does not surprise me as much as it did the crowd as I know the heart of Rick LeBeau and this is exactly the kind of man he is. It was decided that since the 2016 Nationals was announced to be in Ohio that the car would be given away at that show and the donations raised will be split between Children’s of Alabama and Children’s of Ohio. Stay tuned for more information on how you can win this car… again!
