The Alabama Cookout has become a destination event over the last several years. It has grown and grown and practically become a Regional event with people traveling from several states to attend. This year promises more of the same great food, great friends and all sorts of great cars and trucks to drool over when not eating mouthwatering BBQ.
Because this event has grown each year to the size it is today we have had to make some minor adjustments in the way we manage it.
The cost of the event will be $20.00 per person (over 12). If you are a member of the SCOA you will receive a $5.00 discount per person. The funds will be used for event insurance and towards the food. Any funds remaining will be donated to this year’s charity.
Schedule will be the norm. Dinner Friday night at local restaurant, BBQ at the Wideman’s (9:00-4:00) and cruise to local cruise-in Saturday, then breakfast Sunday morning on your own.
As for food we’ll have Ribs, Chicken, burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, slaw, potato salad, chips and banana pudding. Drinks will be water, soft drinks and tea.
